The Prep Nest

About The Prep Nest

The Prep Nest started from a simple observation: most preparedness content is either dry government checklists or fear-driven sales copy. Neither one actually helps someone figure out what to do this weekend.

We write for people who want to be genuinely ready for a power outage, a storm, a job loss, or something bigger, without turning it into a lifestyle built on anxiety. That means practical checklists, honest gear recommendations, and guides that respect your time, your budget, and your living situation, whether that's a house with a basement or a one-bedroom apartment downtown.

Every guide on this site is meant to be actionable: read it, do the thing, and be measurably more prepared than you were an hour ago. If something we publish doesn't clear that bar, we'd rather not publish it.

Have a topic you want covered, or a correction to something we got wrong? Reach out on the contact page. We read everything.
